iPhone 5

The hype for this phone has been more than that of all the others combined. All those sweaty palms ready to get their hands on the new iPhone, but it may not be coming as soon as expected. So what's all this about a delay, and a new design? Well just read on...

So with the release of the iPad 2, the hype about the iPhone 5 has been greater than ever. People are expecting the new A5 chip that was in the iPad, and other features to trickle down. I'm going to break this down by features and explain each one. Now remember this information is totally from rumors, and not apple themselves. Some of these rumors of from reliable sources, and some from, well, not so reliable sources. So just bear it it all to context.

Processor: We are all pretty sure that the iPhone 5 is going to be boosting an A5 processor, as seen in the iPad two. And for all those poeple out there wondering how powerful it is. Well it boosted the iPad's graphic performance by 9 times. So yeah, it's pretty sick.

Screen: Now with the smartphone market getting more and more competitive when it comes to screen size, chances are we will be seeing a 4 inch screen on the next iPhone. Now to go along with that, there have been leaked photos of appple gettting rid of the border around the sides of the screen(as seen in the image below). I personally think that the bigger screen is a step forward, but getting rid of the sides, I'm not to sure about that. But we'll see, it sure looks good anyways.

Camera: I am almost certain, and will bet a lot of money for that matter, that the new iPhone will have an 8 megapixel camera, and hopefully, best case scenario, have true HD video along with it. As for the front facing camera, well were not too sure.

Release: Now here's where it gets tricky. There have been a lot of rumors about when Apple's going to be releasing this phone out into the wild, but for good reason. Now normally, the iPhone gets released every summer (around June or July) but there have been a few things to throw that off. For one, the iPhone went to Verizon, which people though could have thrown off the cycle. But perhaps even bigger, is that the white iPhone was just released. So the big question is will it be released in the summer, or fall? There is also the fact that the iPhone will supposedly ship with ios 5, but right now apple is on ios 4.3.3. Leaving quite a jump if they got to ios 5 in just a few months.
